The Principal of GMG Design, Inc., Greg M. Gorman, started his professional career in shoe store design over twenty years ago at Brown Group, Wohl Shoe Co.  As he grew from an Architectural Designer, he eventually moved into management as the Director of Design, Store Planning.  His next step was the Director of Visual Merchandising and Store Planning for Brown Shoe Company.  All together he worked with Brown Group for over nine years, focused completely on shoe stores, leased departments, point of purchase displays and vendor shop design.

As designer, and management, Greg M. Gorman was involved in literally thousands of shoe design projects in over 95% of the past and present retailers that everyone now recognizes.  Projects included all genders, categories of merchandise, specialty, department store, value priced and outlet locations.

GMG Design, Inc. also works with manufacturers and distributors of shoes and accessories as well as apparel.  Services include point of purchase displayers, sign holders and graphic programs, individual fixtures, complete vendor shops with freestanding display fixtures and wall units as well as showroom interiors.  In addition, interactive displays, kiosks and trade show booths can be designed, developed, resourced, fabricated and installed.  We provide complete program management if required.

 Store Design Workbook
In 1992, Greg M. Gorman started conducting seminar programs in South America to specialty retailers.  He then brought the seminars to US retailers at numerous conventions.  As part of the program, an extensive handout was created.  This handout later became a detailed workbook for specialty retailers and a student textbook adopted by colleges nationwide.  Now in it's second printing, the workbook is read by many and used daily as a valuable retail store design tool.  Contact Mark Kissling at ST Publications, Book Division, 800-925-1110 to order.
